i vacuumed a tent for like 4 hours today. it was totally creepy because the exhibit is full of figures and every few minutes they start talking. While i was behind the tent one of the exhibit builders came in and was doing something at the front of the tent, i saw him and i almost screamed. i kept imagining the surgeon and the sick men moving and then these bushy eyebrows furrow at me over the canvas. AHHH i say. all in all it was good fun. the volunteer coordinator was fascinated by my easy mac. is that one word. anyway, he had a frozen dinner also of macaroni and cheese and we bonded. they're building an exhibit on embalming and there are all these figures in varying states of half dressed-ness all over the place. i was a bundle of nerves i must say. Sarah, our printing stuff is on the way. YAY!

Today I used my very own key at the museum for the first time. yay. collections is so much more fun than the education office. it was a good time. they still don't have the books for my vietnam class, they said maybe tomorrow..hmm. it's almost february. isn't that craziness. it was just december like 5 minutes ago. there was a new hood girl at the museum today, she's going to be a volunteer. i recognized her but have no idea who she is. yay for history though. woohoo.

i can't believe it's so early. i've already done so much. it's like those army commercials except not so much. amy mas's chicken sort of leaked all over the fridge. i cleaned it up as best i could, sorry kirsten. i missed my room, he's happy to have me back. i only had half an elevator of stuff. aren't we all proud of me??? there is going to be a major trip to goodwill. i thought about selling some stuff on ebay or something, but i can't help thinking that's greedy. my mom would kill me if she knew i sold something instead of taking it to goodwill. and so there it will go. i must also go to walmart...i sort of broke kirsten's cable cord, once again sorry kirsten, i shall replace it today. also must go visit pooh and the shangrila...decorating is in order...nothing too ghastly as the mother is coming but there's always time for ghastly later. fabulous, but ghastly, fabulously ghastly. she'll just love it!!!

i'm typing on a keyboard covered in ants. ewww smith is gross. moving first thing tomorrow. i got my internship all worked out today. this is good. it seems like i have a whole lot to move tomorrow. i volunteered to take kirsten's fridge and tv so amy won't have so many troubles tomorrow. can't wait for everyone to come home. it's very exciting. see you all soon!

kitty is purring at the computer. we think he knows that i'm talking to nice people. i am preparing to go to the dentist. i don't like having my teeth cleaned. it's not my favorite but i like having teeth and i'd like to have them for a long time so one must go to the dentist. it's my last day home, hopefully. it's a bit anticlimactic(is that how you spell that?). i shall call the car folk and demand his release. we need to start packing, sort of desperately. i keep hearing how it was impossible to tell how unhappy i was with jennifer. i know that i'm secretive but i didn't think i was that secretive. this is sort of a concern. i'm so very used to making sure everyone else is happy. i'm tired of that. eat it unhappy people. take care of yourselves. it worries me that i felt like i was drowning in sorrow and no one noticed. let's hope it doesn't happen again. how very depressing. not at all the i'm getting out of the house joy that i expected to feel. maybe it's the dread of packing. we're quite sure, but we're bringing back my ivy. my beautiful ivy. i think i'll try to grow lavender again, it smelled so nice. maybe i'll wait till we have a house and plant a nice garden. do you think you can plant in a rented house? oh no, what if we can't paint. this is sad. very sad. depressing blog over, kittens to take presidence. is that spelled correctly? sheesh, me and my spelling...i'm getting paranoid.

tonight poor reid had a little potty accident. one must love the training years. anyway, we didn't have any diapers or clothing for him, so he ran around the house naked for a few minutes until my mom came in with a towel and tape. you guessed it! my sister will never ever leave him here again, but she was laughing. i took pictures, but sadly not on my camera...maybe my mom will send me one. i made roasted autumn vegetables for dinner. mmm. definitely a recipe to keep. so according to the princess i am a reliable not too old person. this is good, no?
messages i received while making juice cups and answering potty calls"

IdiotProdigy: that's a lie
LaX Phreak13: dark side of the moon is pink floyd right
Auto response from elvisngrcelnd: I am not a crook!
LaX Phreak13: come on now i need a reliable older but not too old person

kitty is looking out the window wagging his tail. so cute. he let me cuddle him today. he loves me. my slightly drunk mom and i voted last night. i've never voted in the actual place before. it wasn't so exciting, really. it was a special election about the water plant. i voted and i don't really have any idea what i voted for. rock on democracy. can't visit holly, have no car. do we think dad will let us take his new truck into boston...we thought not. except for all the things i hit i have an exemplary driving record. i now am the proud owner of the world's tiniest ironing board. the mother insisted i keep the crease in my pants. kitty is stalking the birds at the bird feeder. when he goes outside for real he just captures leaves, and brings them in the house, trophy leaves. my kitty is a humanitarian. my dad bought me more cookie mix. we think he is not serious about his weight watching. oh well. i am off to prepare to work on monhollon's paper. i have new inspiration because i just remembered i have a meeting with him first thing when we get back.

there is the fattest orange kitty rolling around on the floor. so cute. camera, out of reach. very sad. amy is up early...doo dee dooing until the car fairy calls and tells her to come fetch her friend. doo dee doo. my dad is telling me about some jewish guy who happens to be a good writer. hmm. my sister was telling me this horrible thing my mother said about the koran at this museum. very unlike her. she asked if it said to kill innocent people. apparently my sister very nearly hit her. i think i would've too. yikes man, yikes. sometimes they really are reasonable people, i swear. i was just telling holly about school dread and she has to go and tell me she's on coop. that bitch. gets to work, and make money, and have fun, and get credit. must remember she has to be there for five years. happy thought.

got grades today, hope everyone is still smiling. mr. car went in for cosmetic surgery. we'll see how he fares. i love being online when someone calls, it makes me feel like god. no, no calls from you. mwahaha. that is just a little bit silly. but whatever. so. the first morning in a while that we haven't had snow. it's sort of disapointing. they are coming tomorrow to remove the whole new counter. how exciting. hopefully i'll have my car and i can escape. i took pictures of my kitten today, and my room. it's totally a disaster but they're going to paint it soon...buhbye room. yay for fun cameras!

my mom played spider solitaire all day. emily and i decided today that our mother is insane. we do this alot, come to think of it. my sister confirms that she did tell my mother she was planning to elope last april but my mother refused to watch reid for the honeymoon so they couldn't go. my mother denies memory of this. sigh. fortunately i don't really want her to remember details about my life. my parents are nearly finished the floor, only one more end to do. my dad keeps saying things and then saying "over" like he's on the radio. hmmm. what fabulous genes i have.
January 11, 2003
yes i did fix the time, and ofcourse i would bring fun to kirsten. it would be an honor. or an honour even. i like it better with the u. so, amy forgot to call sarah today. she was gonna, she was. she's a bad amy. she's a forgetful amy. my cousin was here all day working on her wedding dress. and dealing with my mom, meme, her mom and reid. yikes. it turns out they started to make a size 18 dress. she's a size 4. hmmm. she had to go out and get a new pattern. my meme said her fiance could wear it. it was quite funny. i keep forgetting about all the really bizaar things that keep happening to me. side note, i always spell bizaar that way, i'm pretty sure it's wrong but i like it. so on to weird things. some awful man in walmart said i was "juicy" and stupid in spanish. it was quite gross. and that same trip this ridiculous greek woman(had a very large greek flag in her window) was waiting for a space in the parking lot right behind me as i was trying to leave. i reversed ever so gently so she would know she could have my space if she moved back a little and she beeped at me, twice mind you, and was flailing and appeared to be yelling. eat it lady! so other weird things, let me think, there were more. hmmm. we can't remember. but juicy, i was outraged. yay for things of interest!
it cracks me up that sarah will comment on her own blog and not actually blog. this is funny. i am going to bake a cake today. rock on. my mom and dad are joking with eachother. it's weird. it's freaking me out. my mom was just talking to the cat, saying he was on a diet and he had to suffer like they do. haha.
January 08, 2003
today i had my pants taken up and i got some socks. my dad gave me his ll bean credit card and it's an outlet store so i went a little crazy. i spent like thirty bucks on socks. anyway. my dad got me a morning star farm fake meat pizza and a huge thing of chocolate milk. and we had the most interesting/bizaar chat about guns. he used to be a gun guy and go to gun show and be in the nra, but now he says they are crazy. well, yeah. so anyway it's been an interesting day with dad. and it's not over yet. oh no. good times ahead folks
AWWWW amy mas wants us home early. is it silly to visit? trust me, i want home early too. comment to annie's blog: how indeed could anyone be mean to lindsay, she's the cutest. it snowed again last night, it's like winter or something. it's weird, we haven't had real winter in a while, or maybe it's just living in maryland. we're not sure. anyway. there is so little to blog about it seems. i am going out today. i am. amy must still do some christmas shopping. lovely sarah got me a video of brit coms, YAY! i wanted to watch it last night but i fell asleep. but tonight my friend, oh yes.

i have spent most of the morning chasing a three year old with a juice cup. my sister finally arrived at like 1130. he had already had m&m's and atleast one candy cane. jeez. and then my dad was screaming at him because he was ironing the floor. sigh. my mom is making a dinner, for no apparent reason because no one cares that it's new years. i suspect i'll think it's 2002 forever. last night at the two towers there were these indian guys sitting behind emily translating the whole movie. she said it wasn't as annoying as one would think. reid was being very quiet, i think he must have choked on a marble. would amy let a three yearold play with tiny marbles? probably not. but is amy the adult with childrearing experience? no. oh well. he's been gated into the living room. it's sort of sad but it keeps me from having to chase him all over so he won't be screamed at. happy new year all!
